At Sunshine Physical Therapy, we provide individualized and holistic treatments to help you return to the activities you love so that you can live your life to the fullest! We believe you deserve the best treatment and we will bring optimism and a bit of sunshine to your healing journey. Your treatment will be unique and individualized based on your history, symptoms, and goals. We will go beyond treating your symptoms and identify the underlying cause to give you long lasting relief.
We understand the limitations of insurance-based medicine in both private practice and large healthcare corporations: long wait times for appointments, limitations on visits, working with an aide for the majority of treatment, and being rushed out the door for the next patient can prolong your recovery. At Sunshine PT, you will never feel rushed, we will find the solution to your problems, and you will spend one-on-one time with your physical therapist. No matter how long you have been dealing with your condition, we know that recovery is possible and we will help guide you there. We will go beyond helping you return to function and help you return to optimum living.
We’ll take you through a comprehensive biomechanical assessment and identify the cause of your problem. Then we’ll explain what must be done to get you back to full speed and back to the activities you enjoy.
We’ll develop a treatment plan that will be tailored specifically to you and your goals. This will ultimately allow us to get you stronger, pain-free, and on track to reach your goals more effectively and efficiently.
After we treat your current symptoms, our focus will shift to optimizing your physical health and well-being. We’ll strive to ensure you reach and maintain top condition through preventive strategies going forward.
Stacie grew up in Palos Verdes, and after multiple volleyball injuries she saw the value that physical therapy brought to herself and her friends and family members’ quality of life. She went on to complete her doctorate in physical therapy at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles and continued her studies completing an orthopedic residency at Optum and subsequently became a board-certified orthopedic specialist (OCS). Stacie was ranked the #1 clinician in patient satisfaction at Optum Orange County and in the top 10 clinicians in the state of California at Optum. Stacie also serves as adjunct faculty at Stanbridge University in the physical therapy assistant program.
Stacie has treated patients with complex orthopedic and pelvic health conditions in private practice, UC Irvine, and Optum. She has worked with high school and collegiate level athletes, weekend warriors, and people with chronic pain and health conditions.
While in PT school, she attended a lecture on treating incontinence in female runners and was fascinated by the impact of physical therapy on women’s health. She has taken advanced training in treatment of pelvic health conditions. She believes that women are often overlooked and under-served in healthcare, and hopes to help to put an end to this by providing a safe and inclusive environment where people of all genders feel heard and appreciated.
Stacie has been on her own healing journey for treatment of chronic pelvic and low back pain and understands how valuable it is to have collaborative, knowledgeable, and holistic healthcare providers on your team. Stacie loves physical therapy because she truly knows that exercise, movement, and manual therapy can help people live their best life! She will help you reach whatever goal you set for yourself. During her spare time she enjoys hiking, running, kitesurfing, cooking, reading, and taking her pup Sadie to the Huntington dog beach.
